Hi there. My name is Colleen and I am raising money on behalf of my late brother’s life partner, Laura Adams. She would be my sister in law, were it not for the way disability rules are set up. You see, my brother was disabled and a vet. He and Laura had been together for the past 24 years. His passing was sudden, likely a heart attack, and with no obvious signs of any impending peril. As you can imagine, with his passing at the young age of 53, she, and all of us in his family were not prepared for it. He was so robust!

John’s and my mom is currently also in the hospital, which has been a huge impact on our finances. As such we are in a bit of new territory where we are not as able to help her as we would like. This has been a cruel time for my family, as my dad’s passing two years ago on this day, also took it’s toll. With all that, we are having to reach out to all of you for help, so that my brother may be laid to rest and no burdens be left weighing on Laura.

I know this comes at a time when so many people are hurting and need help, but for her sake, I felt we needed to try. I appreciate any help too, either through a donation or a share, if you are unable to contribute financially.
