John Deans Memorial Scholarship

In honor of the way John taught all of us over the course of his life, we want to continue his legacy in a way we think he would approve of.   All of the money from this fund will be used to establish a memorial scholarship for students in need from Pleasant Grove High School. Go Vikings!!

Mr. Deans taught at Pleasant Grove for 13 years. He served as a Sterling Scholar Advisor, a Student-Athlete Advisor, and won multiple awards including Golden Apple Educator of the Year.  In addition to being a great teacher, John Deans was a great man and a friend to many.  If you were fortunate enough to be a student in his classroom or a friend around his campfire you were well-fed and well-loved.  John made people feel comfortable and included.  You might have thought those feelings of inclusion and comfort came from the location or the event, but they came from John.  We now want to include others with this scholarship that Mr. Deans never had the opportunity to teach.  Join us by contributing today.
