John Chapman Memorial Fund

John Chapman is a hero to our country and to the proud citizens of Windsor Locks.  John recently posthumously received The Medal of Honor, the highest award given to a US citizen for distinguishing themselves for acts of valor.  John gave his life fighting for our country and in celebration of his life, the City of Windsor Locks will be holding a ceremony on the last weekend of September to honor his life and to commemorate his heroism.  This GoFundMe page is to raise funds for a Memorial for John at Memorial Hall in Windsor Locks and for associated costs.  100% of proceeds will go to the town of Windsor Locks for this effort.  Our minimum goal is $5000.  If you are a WL citizen, former citizen or someone who just wants to help honor his valor, please donate, especially those from the WLHS Class of 1983 who graduated with John and are humbled by his sacrifice for us all.  We need your help and if you have read this far, PLEASE DONATE as every little bit helps!
