Support fund for John and Karen Bruno

UPDATE: John is coming home!!! After 6 months in the hospital, Karen is bringing John home. I have increased the goal amount  for this fundraiser. In order for John to come home, renovations need to be made and equipment purchased to help Karen care for him. Thanks to all who donated and thank you for your continued prayers for JB!  I have had the pleasure of working for John Bruno as his personal care assistant for the past 6 years.  Roughly 15 years ago, John was diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy  which is a rare, degenerative neurological disorder.  Over the years, John has suffered the progressive loss of function and death of different types of nerve cells in his brain and spinal cord.  As a result, John has spent an immense amount of time in hospitals and rehabs. Currently, John is at Mass General where he has spent the last 4 months. Karen, his wife, has been a nurse at St. Elizabeths Hospital for the last 40 years . Constantly by his side, she has been out of work resulting in severe financial hardship. John proudly served our country for many years as a member of the United States Army and did a tour in Vietnam. After his time in the Army, he worked numerous years for the Air Force until his disease forced him into early retirement. Not only do I work for the Bruno Family, they have become my second family.  Any donations are greatly appreciated to help with this accumulating debt. Please feel free to share this page.
