This fundraiser is for the John Abkes family. John is in a medically-induced coma at a hospital in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. This accident occurred while on holiday there with their family.  

Many who care for this family have asked for ways to help. This fundraising campaign has been set up to support assisting this family with the costs of surgery, evacuation from Mexico, and ongoing medical care.

UPDATE from a family member:
The first 48-72 hours are the most critical. This is the period of time that the severity of the spinal cord injury reveals itself.

Pray for:
1. For John to keep fighting and surviving
2. Against spinal cord swelling
3. Against infection
4. Against pneumonia
5. For function in his limbs
6. The Lords strength for family each step of the way!
7. Gods peace that passes all understanding!

John was hit by a wave in Cabo, damaging his neck, spine, ribs, puncturing a lung. Surgery on his neck, and is in an induced coma.
