Johanna Hunsbedt Brain Cancer Fund

Hi everyone,

We are Oliver and Audrey Hunsbedt, and we are raising funds for our mother, Johanna Hunsbedt. A few days ago, she was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital, where a tumor was found in her brain. She will be having surgery soon to remove the tumor. Afterward, there is a long road to recovery, including chemotherapy, radiation, and other movement and speech therapies.

Our mom is our hero. Before the signs of her sickness, she was a full-time teacher, graduate student, tutor, mom and wife. There is simply nothing she cannot do. She is always the first to drop everything for her family or her students in order to help them. Always looking to improve, she has nearly completed her graduate program for a Masters in Educational Administration. Most of all, she loves helping others so much that she tutors multiple students, averaging over 10 hours a week. She prepares meals for our family every night and never fails to ensure everyone is served before she takes her seat. Mom is the definition of selfless, gentle, perseverant, and loving. She impacts everyone she meets and helps. From her friends and family to her students, there is not a person whose heart she has not touched. If you have had the privilege of meeting her, you know she is the last person to ask for help and the first to give it. Now it is our time to help her.
