Joey Stanco Memorial Fund
Joey Stanco lit up every room he walked into. A truly good-hearted person with incredible talent and outstanding personality is gone too soon.
On the morning of Wednesday, August 5th, Joey was on his way to work when he was the victim of a tragic accident. A driver in a Yukon SUV pulled out of a private drive and collided with Joey who was passing on his motorcycle. Although he was wearing his helmet, he tragically passed away that evening at MetroHealth Medical Center. He was 20 years old.
Joey was attending Cuyahoga Community College and working at Autowax in Strongsville. He had a way with cars and a strong work ethic, uncommon in most 20 year olds. He grew up in Westlake, Ohio, and attended Westlake City Schools from kindergarten at Holly Lane through high school at Westlake High School and graduated in 2018.
Joey was a talented musician that played saxophone in the WHS Demon Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and played electric guitar in the school's top jazz band, Jazz 1. His mechanical knowledge and love for the outdoors fueled his interest in dirt bikes and motocross sports. Joey's lifelong love for animals and big heart lead to his adopting a foster puppy named Patch. There was never a dull moment with his quick wit and charisma. Above all, Joey will be remembered for his sincerity and kind spirit.
The proceeds of this fund will go directly to the Stanco family to help offset the cost of his medical expenses and funeral service. Thank you in advance for any support you are able to give.
