Memorial fund for Joe Maino

Joe Maino left this life on November 26, 2017. Joe leaves behind an extended family of countless former students with whom he forged lifelong bonds during his 34 year career as a 6th grade math teacher at Kelly Lane School and Granby Memorial Middle School in Granby, CT.  A gifted teacher, Joe not only educated but also encouraged, entertained and engaged his students, many of whom he kept in touch with throughout his life.  Sadly, Joe had no family or relatives to give him the proper memorial he deserves.

We are raising funds to cover the cost of the funeral home and cremation services. The total cost is $1,722.01.  Any funds donated above that will be used for a memorial to celebrate Joe's life.  Any further donations will be used for a Scholarship in Joe's name.  

Melanie DeKrassel, Nicole Bushey and Dawn Champion will be in charge of the final expenses.
