Joelle McAllister

Jason and Erin McAllister welcomed Joelle into their lives on June 23, 2017 in Grande Prairie Alberta. She was a very tiny baby weighing in at 4 lbs 11 ounces. Within 48 hours she was transferred to Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton Alberta. While Joelle was there she dropped to 4 lbs. She was having a lot of difficulty breathing with fluid in her lungs. It was determined that the trouble breathing was caused by a hole in her heart. At this point they have been in Edmonton for 11 days with the cost of food, living, parking, gas etc. starting to add up.

Jason has had to take time off work so that he can be there to support his wife and newborn baby. Within the last 24 hours things have taken a turn for the worst. Genetics testing has confirmed that she has trisomy 18 (Edwards syndrome). This is a terminal condition, and Joelle has been given anywhere from a few days to a few months to live. Further expenses will continue to add up and once Joelle passes Jason and Erin will also have the expense of a funeral and burial. We are asking for your help at this time of sadness. We would truly be grateful for any help given.
