On 2/14/2018, Leslie and Rafael welcomed their new bundle of joy, Joel Julio Mancera. Since infancy, he faced challenges few other babies have to endure. The fight against Mitochondrial disease is tough, but Joel and his parents were determined to be strong, fighting to get every ounce of joy and happiness Joel brought to everyone’s lives.
Sadly, Joel’s journey into this world would be abrupt. For those who were fortunate to interact with Joel, we hope that you cherish those memories. We are all in deep sorrow, especially for us who never got to meet heaven’s newest little angel.
We pray for Leslie and Rafael to find the strength to overcome these incredible hard times. You have the support from a vastly great group of friends and family that are here for you with any need.
