Joe Humphrey died unexpectedly and suddenly.  We are creating this page to help his children, Cody and Paige cover the costs of this process.   We are all devastated and heartbroken by this loss.  Joe filled this World with Light,  Laughter and had an Enthusiasm for every moment.   He was so proud of his children and  who they have grown into.   He Loved living in Alaska, he loved building his cabin in the woods with his Kids, he loved being in AK with his children.  Joe loved the Family that he worked with and lived with in Alaska.  He was in the process of building a cabin in the backwooods of AK, with Cody and Paige.   A place for them to make memories and enjoy for years to come.   Joe also loved Coming home to Mt. Morris, Illinois where it was always a treat for those of us still living here to get to see him.   His visits and extended Month long stays were always full of Laughter, New Stories, New Memories to make, projects got completed with his help.   We all laughed more when he was around and we all stopped sweating the small stuff.  He reminded us to just roll with it, whatever "it" might be.  He was so proud that he got to play, camp, take hikes with,  teach, nap with, cook for and with his grand babies, family and friends.   He loved to be involved in everyone's lives.    Joe was truly a Friend to everyone he met.   He had the best memory and if we ever forgot a name, a movie, a trivial fun fact,  a memory,  Joe knew it.   Joey was so much fun and taught us all that we should -Live Life to the fullest everyday.   He was Always willing to help you out with a project  -Always up for a road trip- Always up for a concert -Always enjoyed cooking for his loved ones  -Always enjoyed eating our home baked goodies.     Joe has Always wanted his Children to experience "Life as an Adventure".    Truly the definition of "Live in" and "Be Present"  for every minute, of every moment, in every day.    We all have So many memories and stories to share..... This is truly a loss for our family and many people whose lives he touched.   No matter where we traveled, Joe was recognized by someone, or he knew someone from a random chance encounter.  He was a Friend, Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew,  Grandson and a Mounder.   He had a true passion for Life and its so hard to properly put into words how Effervescent he was.     Our hearts go out to everyone, as this is a loss for us all.  He was certainly not your average "Joe".  He was "The one and Only Joe".    Thank you for your help, love and support during this time for our Family.  Hold your loved ones tight and remind them how much they matter to you.
