PLEASE HELP
Jody Krizan
Firefighter/Paramedic
City of Sachse Fire Department
Jody Krizan is a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Sachse Fire Rescue. Jody is 47 years old and married to his supportive wife, Amy. They have 3 children of which two are in college and one is in Firefighter training. He has served his community as a firefighter and Peace Officer for over twenty years and has a lifetime of helping others that are in need. Now he is in need of help.
In November 2016, Jody began to experience severe abdominal pain. While seeking medical help with his doctors, a cat scan diagnosed him with Epiploic Appendicitis, a rare irritation to the Colon Appendages. The CT scan also showed some lymphoma in his abdominal area. With continuing excruciating pain, doctors decided to do exploratory laparoscopic abdominal surgery. The surgery revealed a large cancerous tumor in the abdominal cavity. During the surgery, several biopsies were taken and sent for testing. The Pathologist’s report diagnosed him with Stage 4 Mesenteric Follicular Lymphoma, a Non-Hodgkin’s Cancer.
Jody is fighting this cancer with a positive attitude and strong faith in God. After having a medical port implanted, he has begun his chemotherapy treatments. During his treatments, he will be unable to work as a firefighter or work his part time job at Baylor hospital as an ER Tech. Jody relies on both of these jobs to pay his regular expenses and support his family.
We are asking for your support to help him in his fight with cancer. Your donations greatly appreciated. The donated monies will go to help with his medical bills and loss of income. Please consider doing what you can to help Firefighter/Paramedic Jody Krizan and make a difference in his life.
Thank you for supporting his cause!
