Jodi's Journey with ALS
Jodi was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigs disease in 2006.
Through the grace of GOD and wonderful family and friends we were led to Hickey Wellness Center in Hilton Head, SC. Jodi has been doing chelation treatments there since 2007. Dr. Hickey also sent her to Low Counrty Hyperbarics in 2008 and she also does that when we go to Hilton Head.
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover either treatment.
As most of you know, it is very rare to live long with this terrible debilitating disease. Jodi still walks some on her own and talks, however she can no longer dress or feed herself so we all pitch in to do what we can.
Jodi has not been to Hilton d in over a year and she really needs to go every 6-8 weeks for at least a week at a time.
Any financial assistance you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please share this post or if you know how to tweet it I would appreciate it!
We are very BLESSED to have wonderful friends who help Dan out by making dinner and various other chores..
As you can imagine this is a very expensive disease and monthly medication alone is very expensive. Unfortunately, we have exhausted all of our resources.
I am asking that if you or anyone you know would help contribute to help cover these expenses Jodi and her entire family would be eternally grateful.
Please find it in your heart to do whatever you can.
