It’s that time of the year again! For my 30th birthday this year, I’m hoping to raise $5000 for my seminary studies at Dallas Theological Seminary.
Five years ago, I made a last minute decision that was years in the making - to enroll in seminary. The biggest reason for this decision? Deepening my own Justice Theology so I could be a resource on this to the Global Church.
But there was no way I could get there on my own. So I decided to invite others to do this with me in community. It’s astounding to see what has happened since then:
- Dozens of you have generously given over $12,000 towards my seminary training over my past 4 birthdays.
- My seminary training has opened doors for me to become a sought after resource on justice to the North American Church - with opportunities to teach on biblical justice at dozens of churches across the US & Canada.
- Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised, hundreds of everyday Christians recruited and dozens of church partnerships have been built for the work of justice through my work at IJM in the US & Canada since then.
- A quickly growing public platform as a sought after Christian thought leader on justice with over 12,000 Twitter followers and 500 Substack Newsletter Subscribers.
- Conversations with literary agents and publishing houses in the US & UK who are very interested in having me author a book on systemic justice from a global Christian perspective.
Even though I’ve worked my butt off over the past 4.5 years, it hasn’t taken a ton of investment in my seminary training to see a strong return. I’m almost at the finish line from my dual master’s degrees in Systematic Theology & Christian Leadership with just 2 more years to go! I’d be *so* honoured if you helped me get to the finish line by helping fund my seminary studies for this upcoming 2023-2024 academic year (Fall, Spring & Summer semesters).
I’ll gladly receive whatever you can give towards this audacious goal. I’m looking for 15 people to give $100, 10 people to give $250 and 2 people to give $500 to help me get to my goal!
