Joana Vazquez

In the early Friday morning around 3am on October 18, 2019, Joana Vazquez had a severe headache, which actually was a brain artery and vein explosion (arteriovenous malformation). Despite of her severe pain, she was able to still get up from her bed and wake up her mom telling her that “she felt her head exploding” then collapsed.

She was rushed into 2 different hospitals, and had 2 major surgeries all within 24 hours. Her head was flooded with blood & nothing seemed to work out with the first surgery. Her parents, Ana & Francisco, chose the option for her to keep living and fighting, by choosing the only other option of two left- which was a craniotomy.

*Joana Vazquez is a very young beautiful genuine individual. Her priorities were always going to school and worrying about her G.P.A. She is a new Senior at Escalon High School, which she is a cheerleader for. She was raised in Oakdale, CA and went to school there up until her Junior year. Joana loved track and field and her current goal was trying her best to score high on her SATs so she can apply and make it into CSU Stanislaus  in the fall of 2020.*

Unfortunately, in her current state today (Sunday), she is continuing to still fight for her life. She’s lived through these surgeries and there is still Hope that she will recover or have a miracle preformed in her Brain, in Jesus Name. The doctors show the test results are very poorly from day to day and we are asking for any donations/ help from our community to help out our family in this unexpected event for funeral costs, etc.  Prayers as well are more than appreciated, since God hears even the most quiet ones. Once again, thank you all for your support toward our family and may God keep blessing you. Thank you.
