Let me start off by telling you a little about Joan Frances Roisland. She was an amazing mother to three boys and one daughter; she worked hard and sacrificed a lot to raise us. She was unselfish, honest, hard working and kind. She hated asking for help and was a very strong independent woman.
We lost our mother Joan on November 30th 2019 at the age of 76 due to several health issues, Congestive Heart Failure being the main one. Joan had been sick and not able to enjoy life for almost a year . On September 16th, 2019 we lost our brother John Glenn Roisland. John had fought Small Cell Lung Cancer for a year and a half before he lost the battle. He died at the age of 57. We celebrated his life in September, the day before he was to celebrate his one year wedding anniversary. On November 9th we held his service in Oregon. Joan was unable to travel to Oregon to attend his service and she was extremely upset that her son passed away before she did.
We are raising funds so that we can have a memorable service for her. Due to all of the traveling back and forth to Oregon for my brothers illness and then his death, we have no funds available to pay for her service, traveling expenses and final bills.
Joan was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grammy and friend. Our mom deserves to have a service, and we would like to be able to say goodbye with all of the people that knew and loved her and thank her for making all of us feel special, loved and strong.
These last couple of months have been devastating for our family. We are emotionally and physically exhausted and would just like to take the time to mourn our family instead of worrying about all of the expenses associated with our loss. With that being said we would just like to Thank you all in advance for helping us in anyway that you can. No donation is too small. We will keep you updated over the next couple of months.
