Help Joan Kick Some Cancer Booty!

Donation protected

Joan has recently been diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer.  Her prognosis is good but she is no doubt in the fight for her life.  She had a total abdominal hysterectomy and a bowel resection shortly after her diagnosis in March. It took several months to recover from this major surgery then she started chemotherapy.  Shortly after her second round of chemo, she had 9 days of vomitting.  After many attempts to control it, she was finally taken into surgery for a bowel obstruction.  Needless to say, she has been through it!  Joan is currently still recovering at City of Hope hospital.

She and Zabe are tackling each obstacle together.  Joan has an amazingly positive attitude despite all she has been through.  The ICU was quiet, except for Joan's room, which had music, dancing and laughter from not only Joan and Zabe but the nursing staff as well.  She had the nurses raising the roof and dropping it low.

Joan had been working for years on getting into nursing school.  Just prior to being diagnosed with ovarian cancer, Joan had started nursing school while working part time.  She had to drop out but plans to return when she's well.  Joan is facing a major financial burden because of this.  Help Joan get through this.  Any donation is greatly appreciated as well as comments to keep her positive spirit going!  Please pass this link on.
