Jo Ann Grant's Funeral Fund

On October 31st, 2017,  my mother, Jo Ann Grant,  passed in her sleep.  This devastating news came to me just a week after my 21st birthday. She gave birth to me 21 years ago and I had planned to show her all my achievements and accomplishments, so I could show her that I was becoming a responsible and independent adult that she could be proud of.

I keep asking the heavens why now? My mother never told me how much time she had left and until now, I didn't understand why my mother cried every moment we had left together. Even the smallest of moments, like me making food for us in the kitchen , brought her to cry tears of joy. She used to say that life is so fleeting and through her tears, she always smiled to explain that every moment together was so special to her. She is and always will be my bestfriend. She left behind a family: a husband, a daughter, and a soon to be granddaughter. My heart aches to realize she won't be there to meet her granddaughter. 

I made this GoFundMe to raise money for my mother's funeral expenses. I want to be able to put her body at rest and her soul at peace, but right now, I don't have the means to.  

I will use this help to fund something I never could imagine even in 20 years, to give my mom the peace she waited with me for. She will be needing the flowers they provide, the open casket ceremony, and the cremation. I never looked into funeral costs before, but I was shocked to learn the cost of laying a soul to rest. My dad is currently trying to set these things up to keep the added stress off me. I am emotionally devastated and the stress is taking a toll on my body and my unborn daughter. My family and I are grieving and struggling to give her the peace she deserves. Anyone who knew Jo Ann, knew that she had a huge heart and would help anyone who needed it. 

So with a heavy heart, I ask for your help.
