Sophie’s Fight

This is Sophie. She is 4 months old. Two years ago, we had our world turned upside down when our 5 year old pitty, Molly, past away. It was finally time to add a new member to our family and so two months ago, Sophie was adopted. Our other dog, Max, who is 8 years old, was thrilled to have another friend around again. Everyone was happy!
Two days ago, Sophie was active, rambunctious, happy, and the sweetest puppy you’d ever see. However, yesterday morning, she started vomiting consistently and could not keep anything down including any kinds of liquids. She had no energy, was unenthused, and just laid by her owners side. She was eventually rushed to the pet hospital where they ran some tests on her. She had a high fever but they could not find anything else about the source of her illness. She was transferred to another pet hospital where there were more resources to help figure out what she may have. X-Rays were done, tests for parvovirus was given, including an endoscopic operation. It was the first night that Sophie had to be away from her home. Later that night, the ER Vet called her owners and told them that during the endoscopic operation, they found gastric ulcers in her stomach and needed to keep her at the hospital longer than a day to make sure she is getting the necessary medications, treatments, and care. But the longer she stays there, the bill continues to rack up higher and she may not be able to get the help she needs to get better. We are praying everyday that she gets better. Receiving any kind of help would mean the world to us and her and be the greatest blessing because it would help pay for her treatments needed to be done to help Sophie discover why she is having these medical issues. Max and her owners misses her so much and just wants her to get better so she can come home. Thank you.
