Where do you even begin with telling your story? My name is Alisa, I am a single mother of three beautiful children. My oldest is Dalton he is 17, my middle child is Kayla she is 15 & then my youngest is Landen & he is 8.
Over the last several months we have been having a bit of a hard time. You see about a year ago my daughter Kayla was diagnosed with anorexia. She has been to Dr's, GI specialists, dieticians, psychologist, pyschiatrist & so forth with not much luck. In November Kayla's Dr and I decided it was best to take her to a treatment facility. She was down to 103lbs & is 5'6". She completed 4weeks of treatment in Omaha and it looked like we were on the right track to recovery. Unfortunately, after going back to the Dr once a week in Lincoln, Kayla began to lose weight again. At the present time Kayla is down to 97lbs now, her blood pressure is very low and her organs are slowing down. She needs to go back to treatment. We are very limited to eating disorder facilities in Nebraska, which is unfortunate since Omaha wasn't successful the first time. Also in Omaha a parent needs to stay there with the child for the length of the child's recovery. That being said through all of this I have lost my job. I took FMLA but when I tried to come back, they had filled my old position & didn't have any hours available. Also with Kayla's condition we still needed to go up to Lincoln several times a week for different appointments for her, so I was limited to the hours i could work. We were still doing OK until march hit.
We are now behind on several bills, the most important being our house. We are behind 2months & are about to lose the house. In the middle of all of this, we can not afford to lose our house. I'm not one who usually likes to ask for help but we are truly at a loss here. My parents have helped us as much as they possibly can. I have tried getting help through different programs, this is truly our last option. So please if you can find it in your hearts to donate to help our family at this difficult time, we would be forever grateful. Kind words & support is nice too.
