Cori Spence CKD Fund

Cori Spence has been my friend and a part of my family for 7 years. Cori was born with one very small kidney that does not function at all and one oversized kidney that has done all the work her whole life.  Because of this Cori has had kidney problems all of her life.

In the last couple of years Cori has been hospitalized with renal failure and high blood pressure several times.  Her last hospital visit she was diagnosed with CKD (Chronic Kidney Disease).  The doctor told us that people who show kidney function numbers where Cori's are at are normally dialysis patients.  She goes to the specialist this week to find out the next step.

Cori is single and on a very tight budget.  She has always worked hard and been very diligent with her finances.  With the recent events Cori has missed work and is already getting the bills for the hospital stay.  We don't know how long Cori will be able to work or how much work she will miss.  Therefore, her friends wanted to start this account to help her pay her bills and get the treatment and medications she needs.  

Cori approved us starting this fund and we are working on getting past the pride to accept the help.  You see, Cori prides herself on taking care of herself and has a hard time asking for help.
