J-Martinez Hurricane Harvey Releif
Donation protected
My co-worker and friend Jeff and his family were severely affected by hurricane Harvey. From the time they were evacuated in late August throught October 31st, they have been living in a hotel at their own expense. Their house sustained substantial damage from the flooding. Jeff tried going through FEMA and his State Farm Insurance to get help rebuilding and both agencies have turned him down. Apparently, his house was flooded because of the failed levy's and that is not considered a ''natural disaster''. Where does this leave Jeff and his family? Basically, he has to pay for all these expenses on his own. His employer, Abbott, gave him a few thousand dollars which is wonderful but not enough to really help his family recover from this disaster.
I am asking my fellow coworkers, family and friends to lend a helping hand by donating to this account. Jeff never asked for any of this, I found out by chance that he was struggling and I felt it was our duty to help a fellow colleague in a time of need. Thank you in advance for your generosity. -- German
