Help Derek Hall fight AML Cancer

Derek Hall is a 17 year old young man from Celina Texas and has been battling AML Cancer (Acute Myeloid Leukemia) since October 2014. This is a very aggressive form of cancer affecting the bone marrow and blood cells and attacked Derek seemingly overnight. One day Derek was enjoying his senior year of high school, thinking about the Naval Academy and the next day he was fighting for his life. Fortunately, he was diagnosed very quickly and was promptly admitted to Children's Medical Center in Dallas where he spent over 2 months in and out of ICU, undergoing treatments, blood transfusions and chemotherapy. He is currently back in the hospital undergoing his third round of chemotherapy.
Derek is the son of Wayne and PJ Hall and has been living in Celina Texas for almost his entire life. He is a senior at Gunter High School, a member of the high school band and a member of Celina Boy Scout Troop 296, working towards his Eagle Scout rank. He has 2 sisters, ages 22 and 14. Derek's father Wayne is a retired US Marine Corps Master Sergeant and spent almost 25 years serving our country and protecting our way of life.
Most of us can only imagine going through this ordeal and being told your child may have only months to live. Fortunately, Derek's condition has dramatically improved but he and his family still have many hurdles ahead, including bearing the financial burden of this treatment. The Hall family has only asked for prayers and many have been answered. Now we have a chance to help in other ways and give back to a veteran and his family who have given so much to us.
This fundraiser has been set up to assist Derek Hall and his family continue their fight against this cancer.
