JJ's Super Adventures

JJ (Jon Jr) is a 8 year old boy with a severe form of epilepsy, cortical visual impairment, and has just come off of a five year ketogenic diet which was fed through his G-Tube. JJ is non-verbal, and non-ambulatory requireing 24/7 care. He lives in Maine with his mother Brooke, who is a single mom.
Taking care of JJ is extremely expensive, even with his mother working full time. They have to make frequent trips to Boston for JJ's medical care. JJ needs to take 20 medications daily, 7 of which his mother has to pay for out of pocket. He requires frequent chest vest treatments, along with other daily respiratory treatments. He also has three out of pocket therapys as well. The winter months are expecially hard, because he needs to be on oxygen most of the time. As JJ grows it gets harder, and harder for his mother to transport him. Needless to say the costs keep rising.
