College tuition for Paramedic school— SLC cornwall
I am a first year student paramedic. I started the year in September and I had student grant and loans offered to me. I accepted them. Now mid-October the government decided that I was not qualifying for any of the student loans or grant. I have to pay back 7563$. But I do not wish to drop out, my grade are above the class average. I love what I am learning and spend my time studying either in lab or library. I have sacrificed a lot to be here and I put all my effort on both the academic and the physical aspect of the program. I just need help to make sure I do not need to drop out because of lack of funding. Anything would help.
While doing pre-health last year I was working over 50 hours a week, including 16 hours of overtime and managed to finish with the faculty award and a gpa of 3.98. However the paramedic course is much more intense and does not allow me to work more than 10 hours. I do tutoring at school for those hours.
ps: I tried to get a personal loan but as I do not work full time while attending school and none of my close relatives live in Canada they cannot co-sign for me. the amount asked would cover both years of the program..
