Jissel Rosario “The Miracle Girl”

Jissel Rosario is a 12 year old who survived a life threatening blood clot which doctors say is most likely related to COVID-19. This blood clot traveled all the way from her left leg towards her lung and blocked her artery(Pulmonary Embolism) causing her heart to stop and was given CPR for nearly an hour. She was then put on ECMO for three consecutive days  to help oxygenate her blood outside her body. Jissel was tested three times for COVID-19 and came out negative but, on her last day at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center she tested positive for COVID-19 antibodies meaning that she was exposed to the virus at some point. We are so grateful she is almost fully recovered and has been sent home!I hope you find it in your hearts to help us cope with some financial struggles that we are having.
