Don protégé
A guy that knows no stranger and has helped so many in our community over the past 48 yrs, James "Jim Mike" Kuroski.
Family and friends now ask for your support, donations, and prayers during this difficult time.
Jim Mike has lived in Fairmont, WV all his life and is know by many through his work, as a coach, and as the guy who is always around to help anyone at anytime.
Jim Mike just married his best friend Giget, on March 17th, 2017. Prior to the wedding had just returned to work on March 1. 2017, after being off work for 16 months from a car accident that resulted in a L5 S1 Disc replacement surgery on his back. A few days after returning to work. Jim Mike received the results from a biospy done on his neck. He was diagnosed with STAGE 4 Tonsi Cancer that has spread to all the lymph nodes on the left side and has crossed over to the right side. In one lymph node
"Primary Squamous Cell Carcinoma of Palatine Tonsil and Metastatic Cancer to Cervical Lymph Nodes".
With this news Jim Mike and his new bride Giget, on March 19, 2017, flew to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas to be seen by the worlds best Cancer Doctors.
Jim Mike and Giget are still in Texas where he has gone through a plethora of tests, evaluations, scans and procedures. The MD ANDERSON CANCER BOARD has outlined a treatment plan of Chemotherapy and Radiation for him.
As of today, March 29, 2017, Jim Mike had 3 teeth extracted so he so he could begin Chemotheraph as soon as possible. He will have a PIC line placed on Friday March 31, 2017, and will have his first 3 rounds of Chemo treatments on Sunday April 2, 2017.
The plan of attack for his treatments will be three rounds of Chemo three weeks apart and then radiation. Jim Mike and Giget will have to fly back and forth from WV to Texas to have these three rounds of Chemotherapy. Once the third round is administered they will have to remain in Houston for 7 weeks to begin a 5 day a week RADIATION TREATMENT PLAN WITH CHEMOTHERAPY.
Jim Mike has to be accompanied to every treatment as well as round the clock care thoughout the duration of his treatments.
This is a very difficult time and a heavy financial burden for Jim Mike and his new family, as he had just returned to work after the car accident now to face another 6 months or more before he will be able to return to work.
We are graciously asking for your PRAYERS for Jim Mike and his family. ANY donations you can give to assist Jim Mike and Giget with Medical expenses, Travel and any necessary expenses during this very DIFFICULT time.
We THANK YOU,
Family and Friends of Jim Mike and Giget Kuroski
