Jim Finkle Rehabilitation Fund

Jim is a hiker, skier, rock climber and sailor who loves being in the Adirondacks.   He also loves to spend time in the outdoors with his girl friend Joy and children, Rileigh, Zack and Hailee.  A few weeks ago Jim had an unfortunate accident and started living his worst nightmare.  Jim fell 18-feet off a roof, broke 11 ribs and had a spinal injury and is paralyzed from the waist down. 

After 2 weeks in Albany Medical Center, Jim was moved on November 22, 2017 to Sunnyview Rehabilitation Center in Schenectady.   He has a positive attitude and is strongly determined to recover, but the outcome is unknown and rehabilitation  will be long.   

Jim is a Round Lake native, an avid telemark skier, hiker. rock climber, sailor and a craftsmen builder.  His girl friend Joy,  has been at his side as well as his children.

The past 3 weeks Jim has been out of work, and it looks to be a very long time until he will work fully again, if ever.  Our main priority currently, is to keep Jim positive and motivated to have the best recovery that is possible for his condition.

We are asking for donations large or small, to help assist with any bills that may have occurred in the past few weeks and those to come and to make Jim’s home handicapped accessible, as well as  purchase the equipemnt and a wheelchair that could help him have the same outdoor lifestyle as before.  Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
