The incomparable Jill Milne (AKA Holly Jill Jensen, Jilly-bug, Consuela, Beeso, Helga) has recently and unexpectedly been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at a tender, young age.
With all of her caring friends and family at her side, she has just begun her battle with cancer, first with chemotherapy, and possibly radiation therapy and surgery to follow.
For those that know Jill, you know her for her humor, service, energy, and spirituality. She is our devoted and compassionate wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor, church leader, co-worker, and classmate. Jill will find the positive in any situation, and even manages to make jokes and keep laughing during this difficult time.
Besides being cured, Jill would only desire more time--more time with family, more time with friends. As her supporters, we feel helpless in this diagnosis, but we can help ease the financial burden of bills and give the Milne family opportunities to spend more quality time with each other.
Rather than sending flowers and gifts, please make a contribution to help the Milne family with medical bills and to also help them be able to spend as much meaningful time as they can together making memories and treasuring their relationship. All monies go to the Milne family through a 501(c)3 non-profit organization called First Nine Foundation (this will help the Milne family not face tax consequences).

We are so incredibly humbled that we met our initial fundraising goal--and in just a few days. THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO DONATED AND GOD BLESS YOU! All of these contributions will go to the Milne family through First Nine Foundation (see above). This was intended as a surprise to Jill and her family, but when she found out about it, she was reduced to many, many tears. In fact, watching this process unfold has caused many in our family to shed tears of gratitude. Jill is completely overwhelmed by your love and generosity and is reluctant to accept this. We will not be taking anymore donations at this time. We will update if needs change. Again, thank you all for whatever you did to help (and I know there are many out there who have helped outside of this campaign as well). Jill wishes to send her deepest love and thanks to all of you.
