Running 4 Jigsaw and A Rocha

Hi guys!

I'm running the Christchurch marathon on the 21st of April to raise money for two amazing charities; Jigsaw Kids Ministry and A Rocha International.

Jigsaw Kids Ministry is a Christian child development ministry working to improve and develop the lives of children and young people living in extreme need and hardship in depressed, temporary shelter and street communities in Metro Manila and Angeles City in the Philippines. Over the last 20 years Jigsaw's work has impacted and transformed thousands of children's and families' lives through its many amazing ministries and programmes. These include, the child and youth development ministry; nutrition programme; health care response programme; education services; ladies empowerment programme and many more.

A Rocha is a global family of conservation organisations working together to live out God’s calling to care for creation ​and equip others to do likewise. They respond to the global crisis of biodiversity loss by carrying out community-based conservation projects, through:

- Ecological monitoring and research in areas of high value for wildlife

- Practical measures for conserving and restoring habitats, their fauna and flora and the nearby communities

- Participation in nature conservation, through environmental education and community outreach

- Providing a forum for understanding the relevance of the Christian faith to environmental issues
