Morgan’s Fund

Hello everyone. My name is Morgan. For those who aren’t aware of my recent turn of events, nearly two weeks ago I unexpectedly lost my home in New York. For a second time since 2019. And without any other viable options for places to live I found myself in a new place on the opposite coast in California, where I can be at least close to one of a few good friends where I feel I will be safest. While things are going alright so far, I’ve begun the process of transferring my job within the company I work for, with pandemic restrictions + holiday season being major influences in retail right now I’m still looking at 1-2 weeks before I will be able to resume working normally. I have nowhere to go here right now beyond the 17th of December and I’m looking at homeless shelters to keep a roof over my head while waiting for any available apartment to open up and my job to resume, but these things are never a sure process and in the meantime I need to be able to eat and, if possible, keep myself off the streets and out of bad situations. To put it simply, if I go back east, I will be just as homeless as I could be on the west coast, in much more harsh weather. None of my options right now have a favorable outcome but I’m trying to do what I can to make it into the new year keeping myself safe during all this unexpected chaos. Raising money is all I can think of right now while I do my best to settle but it will help me remain safe as I try to find my stability and it would be the biggest Christmas blessing I could ever ask for.
