Juan's Medical Fund
Donation protected
As many of you may know, one of our visually impaired students, Juan, has been struggling with a very serious illness for the past few weeks. Juan was rushed to the emergency room in late August. His blood sugar was dangerously high (1000), and he was diagnosed with Type I diabetes and pancreatitis. He was in the intensive care unit for over a week, and is still in the hospital. He is improving, but his condition remains very serious. There is a possibility that he will have to go on dialysis.
Juan's mother works in the garment district six days per week. She is a single mom with three kids, and she has been unable to work for over two weeks as she has been at the hospital with Juan. This has made their financial situation especially difficult, and the hospital bills and medical expenses they are facing are daunting.
Please don't feel compelled to donate, but if you are able to make even a small contribution, it will help Juan and his family immensely. Thank you so much!
