I currently reside in Germany and am a father of three beautiful children.
I am organising a fundraiser to assist my cousin and her family in escaping the dire situation in Gaza. I'd like to share a message from my cousin,
Lara, who is a second-year nutrition student at Al-Azhar University. She had dreamed of pursuing this specialization her whole life, but unfortunately, the war has devastated both her home and university in Gaza. This year, her brother Basel was supposed to graduate in computer systems engineering, but his dreams have also been shattered by the conflict.
In the provided image, you can see the heartbreaking destruction of their home in AlFayrouz Towers, where their father spent 15 years paying instalments.
This place held their cherished memories, but now lies in ruins.
Throughout the war, they endured multiple displacements and faced the constant threat of death amidst bombings in Rafah. They have been struggling with fear, skyrocketing prices, and the challenge of obtaining life's essentials.
My family—my parents, brother, and I—humbly ask for your assistance in leaving Gaza to escape this nightmare. We need $5,000 per person to cross the Egypt border.
