Jhayla’s memorial

I went into the hospital Saturday June 20th due to something unrelated, when the nurse took my blood pressure, it was way to high for me being 32 weeks pregnant. They checked the baby and saw that she was doing fine, the doctor came in to give me some medicine to help bring my blood pressure down and within a matter of minutes my baby’s heart rate started to drop and they could not get it back up. They told me I will have to have an emergency c section to save both her and myself. Jhayla London was delivered Saturday 3:48 pm and had a rough few days ahead. I got to see her for the first time Monday morning, she finally got to hear my voice. I made it back to the hospital room and the nurse came in and said she had taken a turn for the worse and that we needed to go back to the NICU. The DR came over to us and said they were doing everything they could but her heart was just to weak. She tried for another 3 mins and walked back over to us and asked did we want her to stop. We told them they could stop, there was nothing else they could do for her and we had come to terms with that. She was pronounced dead at 1:02. They placed us in a quiet room and wheeled her in to us so we could spend a few mins with her. I held my tiny lifeless child in my arms and felt her hair, her soft skin. Felt on her tiny toes and fingers and just cried.
