O Gil ainda tem um longo percurso pela frente. A recuperação dele vai ser complexa por isso qualquer ajuda financeira adicional será bem vinda. Desta forma vamos deixar este crowdfunding ativo por mais algum tempo. Seguimos juntos!

O nosso amigo e tubista Gil Gonçalves sofreu um acidente de bicicleta no passado dia 26 de Março. Como consequência teve um traumatismo crânio-encefálico grave, tendo ser operado de urgência (que o deixou em coma durante algum tempo), partiu o maxilar e alguns dentes. Neste momento está em fase de recuperação e em breve será transferido para uma clínica de reabilitação neurológica, onde se estima que tenha de ficar pelo menos dois meses. Esta clínica tem um custo total de 16.000€ (8.000€ por mês).

Esta angariação tem como objetivo ajudar a família do Gil a suportar os custos da clínica de reabilitação neurológica.

Integra a banda "Kumpania Algazarra", o projeto da cantora Luísa Sobral, a banda “Dixie Gang” e é membro fundador da banda “On Dixie”, “Shake It Brass”, “IGNITION”, “New Music Collective” e do projeto “SubWoof3r”.

Atualmente é artista Miraphone, está a frequentar o doutoramento em musicologia na Universidade de Évora e leciona no Conservatório de Música de Palmela, na Escola Profissional Metropolitana e na Universidade de Évora.

We would like to thank each and every one of you. We have managed to reach and exceed our target value. Without everyone's help it would have not been possible.

Gil still has a long way to go and his recovery will be complex. Therefore any additional financial help will be more than welcome. In this way we will leave this crowdfunding active for some more time so that those who wish to contribute can do so. Thank you.

Our friend Gil Gonçalves had a bicycle accident last 26th March. He suffered a serious brain injury and had to undergo an emergency operation which left him in a coma for a week. He also broke his jaw and some of his teeth. He is currently recovering and will soon be transferred to a neuropsychological rehabilitation clinic, where he is expected to stay for two months. The cost of the clinic will be €16.000 in total (€8.000 per month).

With this fundraising campaign we're helping Gil's family to pay for the costs of the neurological rehabilitation clinic.

Gil Gonçalves is a nationally and internationally recognised musician, tubist and teacher. He regularly collaborates with Portuguese's leading orchestras.

Currently he is pursuing his PhD in musicology at the University of Évora and teaches at the Music Conservatory of Palmela, Metropolitan Professional School and at the University of Évora.
