Dada healed thousands. His family now needs help

On Tuesday the 21st of January 2020, Dada Biswanath Singh, the co-founder, Head Clinician and Project Manager of Traditional Healthcare India (TH), passed from a sudden heart attack whilst in his clinic, still attending to many patients at the time.

Traditional Healthcare is a community project that began in 2007.  Since then Dada has worked tirelessly to help thousands of people in need. This clinic has been part of Dada’s life work.

Dada was a motivated, caring and extremely dedicated person, who made it his life goal to improve the health and future of his hometown community by providing affordable treatment to the underprivileged.

For the past 10 years, Dada has worked for more than 10 hours per day, treating up to 80  people a day, 6 days a week.  People would travel from hundreds of kilometres away to seek treatment from him. People received incredible results and only paid 100 rupees per treatment equal to $2 AUD.

Dada’s wife Indu and 6-year-old son Dave are now left with little to no money and resources to support their everyday life. To add to the misfortunate, Indu was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and is unable to afford appropriate healthcare treatment as she is no longer able to work due to her illness.

Additionally, Dave requires financial support for his ongoing schooling costs in the neighbouring town. We are aiming to make at least $15,000 AUD to help the family during this sad and challenging time.

This sum of money will allow Indu to undergo testing, breast cancer surgery,  a career for Indu for the next few months, as she is in bed due to cancer. Money is also being raised for food for both Indu and Dave and to send Dave to school for at least 12 months.

Traditional Healthcare (TH) is an Australian based not-for-profit organisation committed to creating a holistic, integrative hospital in the rural village of Datam, East Jharkhand, India.  The TH clinic receives no corporate funding and has no religious or political agenda.
