Help Solo

Last update on Solo. Unfortunately once the vet got him sedated to where he could take a better look he found that his jaw was in two pieces and he appeared much older than 10. Only top of the bad teeth and broken jaw he also had a condition where all of his chewing muscles were gone. He has so much working against him and the pain was so severe we made the best decision we could for him and that was to end suffering. The broken jaw was due to infection and other issues. This was not caused by his previous owners. Thank you to everyone that supported this cause. Update on Solo. With pain management he feels some better this morning. The vet is going to go ahead and proceed with removing most of his teeth and seeing if there is another source of pain. He did eat a little this morning but only baby food. I was quoted approximately $800. This is a huge hit to rescue so we are trying our best to raise the money. I will update again later once I know how surgery went Hello everyone!  My name is Solo and I need some help.  I am a 10 year old dachshund and my owners gave me up today and I’m very sad about that but I’m also having some medical issues. My previous owner told the nice people at animal control that I am in pain and having trouble eating.  The nice animal people jumped right in and told me they weren’t giving up on me and would get me the help that I need and took me straight to the vet.  You see I have some old teeth that need to be pulled and there may be some other things going on as well. When I try to eat the pain is horrible so I just don’t eat. The vets won’t know more about what’s going on until they get me sedated because I don’t want them touching my mouth right now. These nice animal people are doing everything they can to help but I need your help to.
