After being part of the organising team for Meeting of the Minds Unconference in Melbourne, Australia, I want to experience other different teacher professional learning events to make Meeting of the Minds even better. The Unplugd Unconference in Canada is one such event - with a small group of educators getting together over a weekend in the wilderness to talk education write a book about what matters most in education. It's an innovative event with some amazing people and I'm pretty keen to get there this August to see what I can learn about how effective this event is and why. Any help would be more than greatly appreciated and will go towards changing teacher professional learning in Australia.
(An unconference is an event that is organised as it happens - so not really any pre-arranged presentations etc, but rather ad-hoc discussions and presentations depending on what participants want).
