Jessica has battled chronic illness since after Evie's birth in 2008. Her health has steadily declined, and has become debilitating to the point of her being unable to care for her family. This GoFundMe is being set up to help meet the Netherton's needs on their journey toward healing.
Since 2010, Jessica has been actively pursuing doctors. In 2016, she was seen at Washington University in St. Louis, and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. She received one diagnosis of Common Variable Immune Deficiency, a primary immune deficiency, and has been treating it with weekly subcutaneous IgG. There is still at least one undiagnosed disease that creates the majority of Jessica's symptoms. She and Heather, a friend and medical advocate, have been faithfully researching and pursuing options for another diagnosis for about 10 months. They found a specialist in New York City who is not only researching this specific area of medicine, but is also taking patients!
Here is our first opportunity to help! Rob, Jessica, and Heather are traveling to New York City, November 16-19, with hopes of getting a diagnosis and a treatment plan that will help Jessica regain quality of life. The estimated cost for the three of them is $3500. It would be a huge blessing and a weight off their shoulders if we could join together to meet this need!
