This Gofundme campaign has been created to assist Jess, Ben and Claire on their journey to recovery.
Jessica Barns and Ben Hawkins welcomed their first child Claire Elizabeth into their family on Friday 13 October 2017. At just 31.6 weeks gestation, Claire was born 8.1 weeks premature and is currently being cared for in Canberra Hospital NICU. Unfortunately, roughly an hour prior to Claire's birth, mum Jess suffered a Stroke and was taken into Canberra Hospital for immediate delivery. Jess was and remains unconscious on and off for the first 24hrs. Jess is stable, but at this stage, her prognosis is unknown. We do know that this will be a long road to recovery for both Jess and Claire but they have the unconditional support from partner and father, Ben together with their families.
Funds raised will be used for items required for Claire as she grows, Jess as she recovers and goes through rehabilitation and Ben as he stays at Ronald McDonald house, his travel costs and time away from work with the possibility of not receiving an income for a period of time. Any donation of funds no matter how small are greatly appreciated. Please leave your well wishes and congratulations below as these will be saved into Claire's new baby book.
