Please join me in covering our beloved Jessi Wood in prayers as she fights the fight of her life.
Jessi gave birth to her fourth daughter, Lizzie, on Monday afternoon. Lizzie is a healthy 8 lb 9 oz and is home with all her proud big sisters.
Jessi has experienced many complications following the birth, which have resulted in a brain bleed. After being in and out of surgery, she was airlifted to Vidant on Wednesday evening and is in excellent hands in the neuro ICU. She is currently sedated for several days to allow her body the ability to rest.
There are many unknowns right now, but there is so much hope on the horizon. As more information is discovered, updates will be made here as her family is comfortable with releasing information.
In addition to an enormous amount of medical and specialist bills that are sure to come their way, alleviating the financial stress of traveling costs and meals in the next few weeks and months are sure to help Brent focus on Jessi’s recovery. In the age of COVID-19, the family isn’t able to accept meal train donations as they are unable to risk anyone contracting the virus. A COVID diagnosis would be devastating. Jessi’s recovery needs are completely unknown at this point in time. As she is slowly released from her sedated state in the coming days, we will know more about the future.
