Baby Jesse's Hospital Expenses

November 18th at 7:01 pm, Jesse John Lenzie was born! Emily was so incredibly strong through the whole labor and Tony was anxiously awaiting the arrival (while in true Tony fashion...eating beef jerky and skittles) of their sweet baby boy Jesse. Things quickly turned, they only heard a tiny cry come out of Jesse and of course feared the worst. It was an incredibly tough labor, Jesse needed help breathing the moment he was born. The doctors intebated him immediately. A few hours later once they stabilized him, a team of doctors transported him to Lutheran General where he is under the care of specialists in the NICU.
At this time, we do not know what has caused all of this to happen to Jesse or any of the many other concerns the doctors have at this moment. However, he is currently in a "cooling bed" for a 72 hour period where they cool his body temperature to slow down the free radicals, in hopes that it will give his little body a chance to restart from the initial trauma he endured. The next few days are incredibly critical. They are running a number of tests to rule things out and currently have him sedated to help relax him and keep him comfortable during this long process. There are many other issues/concerns, but at the moment this is the focus. We are all remaining very hopeful and asking for LOTS of prayers. Emily and Tony need our help...because things are so serious, the hospital has asked them both to be there at all times with baby Jesse. On top of this, Emily is still recovering herself and needs Tony's help too. So this means that neither one of them are working and they do not get paid maternity leave or fmla. We don't want that to be a concern for them right now, we want them to completely focus on the baby and are hoping you can help us too. Even if it is just $10. The money will go towards food, gas, monthly bills like their mortgage and the crazy amount of medical bills that will soon start coming in. The doctors hope, is to have Jesse home by Christmas.
As Emily's sisters, we know that they would NEVER ask for help! If we could, we would just provide them with whatever they needed, but unfortunately that's not possible. So we are hoping all of you can help us rally around them and give them the love and support they need. God knows they would do it for any one of us in a heartbeat!
