Love in the End Times: Album

I am excited to be embarking on my first "solo" recording project, comprising all original songs written over the past few years. It's been a crazy few years in my world - endings and new beginnings in life and love, amidst political and social chaos in the world at large. Music has been both my refuge and my celebration during this time, and a lot of songs have come out of it! My favorites will be collected together in this album.
I started performing solo a few years ago at The Alcove, the tiniest bar in Evanston, IL. I played every Saturday night for a year, sitting in the window with my guitar, with my audience only a few feet away. Many of these songs were written during that time, and I hope this album will recreate the warmth of those intimate performances.
Although so much music is shared digitally these days, there is still something magical to me about creating a physical album. I am delighted to be working with Steve Dawson at Kernel Sound Emporium - Steve is an amazing friend/musician/producer/engineer and his expert touch will help bring these songs to life. My talented husband, Adam Trefonides, will create original artwork for the CD.
The funds raised here will cover recording time, engineering and mixing, as well as CD production and shipping costs for 100 CDs. The songs will also be available for online purchase once the initial production costs have been met. (And if I can raise more money, I will make more CDs!).
I am grateful for any contribution, large or small. All contributors will receive regular updates on the project. I will also share some pre-release recordings along the way, so you can get a sneak peek as the album comes together!
