Dearest friends of Jerry Wyman,
We are so extremely saddened by the sudden loss of such a special soul, a dear dear man, who graced the lives of so many. Jerry Wyman, lover of life, of nature and art, a gentle, kind, and generous man.. who weighed the worth of his life on the connections he made with others, left us on May 23rd, at approximately 8:15pm.
Just over a month ago, Jerry and his family learned, quite by chance, of the brain tumors that would end his life. It was discovered, not long after, that the cancer, which had originated in his lungs, and had spread through out his body so quickly, had advanced too far to be treated. We are so sorry to say, that by the time of his diagnosis, he was already dying. The devestating and sudden decline and death of Jerry, has left his family and friends in complete shock and saddness. As many of you know, Jerry always claimed that his TRUE wealth, came from the love of his family and all his many friends; his greatest joy, from bringing joy to others. We would like everyone to know, that he was not suffering. We were able to bring him home from the hospital, where he was surrounded by his family, and he passed peacefully, and without pain or struggle.
We are so completely touched by all the outpouring of love and support, and all the many stories and memories people have posted. And we would like to thank each and everyone of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. It is an incredibly diffucult time, but the support has helped tremendously. In addition to the emotional struggle and grief, the family is now also struggling with the end of life costs that are accruing, and limited resources. So our request is humble, and full of gratitude... Any contributions to this fund will go directly to covering the cost of his cremation and services, as well as lost work earnings and travel expenses for his family. Prayers, thoughts, and words of encouragement, as well as continued sharing of memories of Jerry, are equally as meaningful at this time, so please give only what you can.
