Jerry Earl Watkins, age 49 of Monroe, Virginia, deceased July 5, 2017 around noon at Lynchburg General Hospital due to a massive heart attack when he was working on the job. Jerry owned American Flooring, INC. and worked for The Floor Show. Jerry is survived by two beloved daughters: Ashlinne Watkins, 21, and Lianna Watkins, 20. The girls lived with their father in Monroe.
Jerry was known for being an incredibly hard worker, an amazing friend, and had a one of a kind relationship with his children. Jerry took pride in all things he did, and was always a man of his word. He always looked after his friends, and they always looked out for him. Jerry spent the majority of his time working, watching westerns, spending time with his girls, and calling his buddies just to shoot the breeze. Jerry loved all he surrounded himself with; friends, family, and even strangers. Jerry would probably say his friends were just as much of a family as his relatives.
Jerry had not prepared for his death. and due to the unexpectedness and his young age, he did not have any obligations to life insurance. Also due to the expenses from after-life costs, his children are responsible for the payments of the funeral and other obligations. The daughters are asking for donations to keep them on their feet in lieu of flowers during the service, which will take place Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights. There will be a small service taking place in between visitation hours directed by Pastor Curtis from Eastbrook Baptist Church of Rusturg, Va.
All donations would be greatly appreciated by both Ashlinne and Lianna. As much as they hate asking for donations, any donations are greatly appreciated. Donations will be used for the responsibility to fufill the duties of making Jerry's after-life experience memorable and appropriate.
