Jerry Mullin- Rare and Aggressive Head Cancer

I am starting this gofund me for our friend Jerry Mullin. For the second time in 14 years he is battling an aggressively growing tumour, a presently unknown form of cancer in his head possibly caused by the radiation from his previous treatment.

Jerry runs his own small survey firm and like many self employed people he does not have the health benefits to cover travel, cancer treatments not covered by health care, accommodations and loss of work expenses. And being that it is a repeat of cancer, insurance is not able to cover anything either. These will all be out of pocket expenses. Your donations help to support him and his family during this time so that the weight of providing is not carried on his shoulders.

He is a loving father of two teenage girls. And wants to continue to be the supportive and loving father that he is.

He thrives in sharing his many skills and is always looking for ways to help his friends, family and community with any kind of project.

He’s the kind of guy who you want to work for, work with or just be around. Jerry sees and values people. Perhaps the best barometer of character, is that he is the kind of person you want around your kids, the kind that gets down on the floor and truly connects with them.

For someone who is normally the giver and the caretaker, being on the receiving end of your support will be life changing for Jerry.

Jerry will be travelling to Vancouver in the next few weeks for cranial surgery to have the tumour removed from the left side of his face as well as facial reconstruction. This will be followed by possible radiation and chemo treatments. The recovery and rehabilitation period is still unknown but will be extensive and debilitating for some time.
