Jerry Gardner Memorial Fund

A chance meeting of media types in the Miami Dolphins locker room led to a marriage of more than 25 years for Michelle and Jerry Gardner.
This week Jerry  passed away, following a long battle with a myriad of health issues.
A week earlier Michelle lost her job with the Southern California News Group, where she had been covering local sports since 2002, after company-wide layoffs.
Over their time in Southern California, Jerry worked on the radio side of sports, a constant presence in press boxes across the Southland.
In Michelle's  career in the San Bernardino and Inland Valley she covered everything from high schools, colleges and the California League. She is recognized as a voice for telling the stories of local athletes.
Family, friends and colleagus are asking for help in assisting Michelle with expenses as she deals with her loss.
