Jericas funeral expenses and Vanessa education

Hi, my name is Darrel and I'm setting up this Gofundme account for my niece and her daughter.

The night of Halloween my niece was walking home from the local gas station when she was struck by a hit and run driver. She suffered massive injuries to her legs, arms, and torso area. The doctors performed multiple surgeries to repair the many areas that needed attention. Today the doctors told us that she would lose her right leg, both hands and that she would be on dialysis for the rest of her life, due to her kidneys shutting down. Also she would need a feeding tube the rest of her life. My brother, Dale Schuman, (her father) and her mothers, Tammy Brummond & Lori Schuman, decided that she would not want to live life like that and made the incredibly hard decision to shut the life support machines off, and let her go into God's arms with dignity. Her daughter, Vanessa, is 9 years old and is very confused and extremely upset as you can imagine. Her mother was taken from her in the blink of an eye. The driver has been found, arrested, and charged for the crime. I'm asking for whatever you can do to help. We have funeral expenses and a little girl who will need an education. Thank you in advance for all your kindness! All funds will go to the funeral and Vanessa's future college.

     Well we reached our first goal, and we wanna say from the bottom of our hearts thank you for all of the love and support. We're completely in awe of the generosity and plain old goodness in the world. It does our hearts good to see this! I've set a new goal to achieve. This will set Vanessa up a very good trust, that she'll have when she reaches age. 

Thank you again! 

     Well world you've done it again, you've shown how no matter what's going on in the world, there's still alot of love, compassion, and generosity in the world! We've reached another goal and have set one final goal! Let's make sure Jerica's life is not forgotten and Vanessa's life is as fulfilling as she wants to make it! I love you all, and would hug each and everyone of you if I could! Thank you!

I'll be posting funeral arrangements for those of you that might like to attend.

    The funeral services are as follows:  The Good Shepherd is doing the services for us they are located at 4712 S. 82nd st. 

    We'll have visitation from 6-8 on the evening of Wednesday November 10th. Then we'll have a celebration of life service on Thursday November 11th  at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon that will follow on the lower level. We also will be doing a balloon release at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday also, just prior to celebration of life services for anybody that would like to join us. Its a BYOB, (bring your own ballon)! We will also be having a toast to celebrate the life of this wonderful and incredible woman, Jerica Lynn Schuman!
