Jenny Gets Her Wheels On, a play

Donation protected
"Jenny Gets Her Wheels On" began as a one-act play that received six performances at the Onstage Theatre One-Act Festival in June 2017.  I have since expanded it to a full-length play. The next step for "Jenny" is a full cast reading in San Francisco, which requires space rental, director and actor fees, and promotion to help find a producer.  We would hope to reach our goal by May 1, 2018.

This is a play I truly believe in, and when you read the summary, I think you'll be as excited as I am at seing it up onstage.

The comedy, Jenny Gets Her Wheels On is the story of a musical theatre ingénue who suffers a life-threatening accident that confines her to a wheelchair. (The lead actress spends 90% of the play in a wheelchair.)Distraught at first, she finds a new way of using her talent – as a stand-up comic, eventually landing appearances on late-night TV.  But her journey is not an easy one as she faces mounting difficulties that test her resilience, including the po Use My Email Address
ssible loss of Mark, her most fervent supporter.  The play  requres five actors, 3 women and 2 men.   In these times when gender parity is a rising issue in the theatre world,  "Jenny" offers superb roles for the women.

"Jenny" and I will be grateful for your support.
