Jenny's Post-Surgery Expenses

Donativo protegido
In 2003, Jen was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. This is an auto immune disease that causes her body to attack her kidneys anytime she gets sick. In April 2016, she started going into kidney failure. A year later Jen began dialysis to keep her body going as she was placed on the kidney donation list. Now God has faithfully provided her with a new kidney!

Our efforts here are to help Jen defray the costs of her transplant, hospital stay, and medical care as well as provide for her day-to-day living expenses during her recovery. After her surgery, Jen will be off of work for three months while she recovers (without pay for part of that time). While Jen will have disability insurance during this time, it will only cover 2/3 of her normal income.  Out of this reduced income, she will have to repay her school district for her insurance premiums and for her substitute teacher.  Jen also has a $7,500 annual insurance deductible that she will have to cover.

We are so thankful for this gift of LIFE God has provided Jen through a generous donor! We also thank each of you for being faithful support of Jen - many of you for several years. Any financial gift given is immensely appreciated and will be judiciously used!

If you are interested in helping Jen in other ways, we will also be setting up Care Calendar to help with Jen's meal, housework, and transportation needs. Please let her or Barb Schlueter know if you would like access to this calendar.

Thank you in advance for your care, love, and generosity!
